The Mohammad A. Ahmad Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in loving memory of Mohammad A. Ahmad.  He immigrated to the United States as a young teenager.  Through dedication and an extremely strong work ethic, he learned English, gained an education, and helped raise his younger siblings.  He went on to become employed at Giant Food, Inc., where he began as a part time employee.  Through his continuous hard work, he rose through the ranks and became the Manager, serving locations throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.  His final stop was in Warrenton, Virginia, where he worked until he passed away on February 19th, 2007.

He was an extremely generous and selfless man who sought to always find ways to improve the lives and circumstances of others.  He loved his wife, his children, his parents and siblings, his religion, and his community.  Through this Memorial Scholarship in his name, as well as through The Ahmad Foundation, his generous spirit lives on.
